Primary Eye Care:
- There are various minor eye problems, which are very common among general people like itching in the eyes, burning sensations in the eyes, watering from the eyes, redness in the eyes.
- For these minor problems, visit to Ophthalmologist is necessary. Ophthalmologist will do routine check-up with Slit Lamp Biomicroscopy. 1-2 follow-up visits are advised as per needs of the patients.
- Refraction/ Spectacle number: Refractive error (Spectacle) is the commonest problem in population. Every third person has specatcles.

Removal of Specs
Many people get bored for using the spectacles.
- Not all patients are eligible for removing specs surgery.
- Lasik is the common procedure, famous in the public. For certain type of patients & for certain specs number the lasik is the safe to perform. For surgery of patients, they should be undergone some tests of eligibility, most common being the corneal thickness.
- In modern science, there are more advanced technique have been invented thoroughly researched for safety.
- Advanced SMILE technology is above Lasik procedure. Procedure of SMILE & Lasik for patients is same but the technique of laser ablation is different. Patient will not feel any difference during procedure.
- + Some side effects of Lasik, like Dry Eye Disease, are avoided by SMILE

Computer Vision Syndrome
- Most common people prone for this are engineers. Others are people who work on computer more than 4 hours daily like accountants and bank officials.
- These people should get checked for computer vision syndrome.
- Basic cause for this disease, is use of screen. It is because of the technology and functioning of screen.
- The eyes focusing system gets damaged by continuous use of screen for longer time. The patient’s vision gets blurred, when leaves the scrren. Foreign body sensastion in eyes, discomfort in eye, watering from eyes may happen.
- In initial stage, it is reversible but as the time goes with screen use, the problem increase and recovery phase gets delayed.
- Ophthalmologist will start eyedrop and advice some exercise. 4-5 follow-up visits are necessary according the needs of the patient.
- Recent research indicates continuous use of computers, laptop cause Dry Eye Disease. And Dry Eye Disease cause frustration in patients.

Glaucoma is the silent killer of eye.
